I think the people who are supposed to be with us, will find us someway. Similarly, we will find the people we are supposed to be with. The best friends, the ones that change your life, the ones that have your back. We will all find them. Or maybe we have already found them.

Every weekend you go to the markets and buy more things than we can eat in a week. And the half the week we're eating at school/work/somewhere else. We have two refrigerators + a huge chest freezer choke full of stuff. I would be glad to help you put away all the stuff if I knew where we could put the things.


Sometimes I think my family needs professional help.

There's a base sort of tired.
One where you can feel it in your core.

It's a slow moving tired where it eats up your will and slowly, slowly compresses against your chest. It seems like the only breaths that you can take, are the slow deep ones that fill you with oxygen and pulls you further and further down a slope. A soft, lush, velvety slope that brings you home.

Home.

You know what happened to me? I stopped begging.


I stopped begging for your bit and pieces, the scraps you so kindly chose to give me, the pockets of time where you don't have anything on. I stood up. I deserved more than to be your after thought. The one you think of what you've thought of everything else.

"No." I vowed. That is not me and that will never be me.

But if you cannot give me what I give you, then that's the reason you're not in my life anymore. I deserve better than all your half-hearted friendships. Some may say I'm choosy but the fact remains that if someone wants you in their lives, they will find a way. Nothing more to be said.

Always remember, "You always regret the things that you didn't do, more than the things you did"

I've left lots of people behind. Random people, people that meant the world to be, people that were supposed to love me unconditionally, I've said goodbye to all of them and my heart hasn't missed a beat. It's missed two. Alright, maybe eight-seven beats.


I've been thinking & I've come to the conclusion that leaving people behind is like a snake shedding it's skin aka molting. I think there comes a certain point in life where we all become different people. We just - outgrow - some people. Some people are like corsets, they mold you and shape but at the end of the day, while you're grateful for all the molding and shaping they've done, all we really need is to break free and just stand on our own. On the other side, other people outgrow us & while that may hurt like hell, it was simply something they needed to do. A wise Instagram post once said,

"There is great freedom in not taking things too personally" 

To those that have left me, I forgive you.
To those I have left, I forgive myself.

Maybe we'll all meet the person of our dreams

and all our lives would get 

better.
